Mortar

"Mortar as the last resource" 

A mortar was invented by Mehmed II. In 1551 it was used against a vessel and it worked, so this arm becomes as a necessary item in the war. This weapon was hard to use in the middle of a battle and easiy soldiers who operate the mortar can be shooted, it was better to use it inside of a trenche so the operators could use the mortar much better.

During the fist world war this arm was use as a compact prototype, however in the second world war all contries improved their desings, being better the Soviet and American models. 

Now the mortar range is about 6.000 meters.
